Affiliate Disclosure

MeshCore Europe is a community project. This site uses affiliate links to help cover the costs of hosting and maintenance. This page explains how affiliate links work and what it means for you.

When we link to a device or product on a retailer’s website, the link may include an affiliate tracking parameter. If you click the link and make a purchase, we receive a small commission from the retailer. This is how affiliate programs work across the internet.

This does not cost you anything extra. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our affiliate link or go to the retailer directly.

Which Retailers?

We participate in the following affiliate programs:

  • Amazon Associates (Amazon.de, Amazon.nl, Amazon.co.uk) — Amazon’s affiliate program for European stores
  • AliExpress Affiliate Program — For devices available from AliExpress sellers

Additional retailer partnerships may be added over time. This page will be updated to reflect any changes.

All affiliate links on this site are clearly marked. You will see an affiliate disclosure label near any link that includes affiliate tracking. We also indicate affiliate links at the top of pages that contain product recommendations, such as the devices page and the repeater deployment guide.

How Revenue Is Used

All affiliate revenue goes toward:

  • Domain registration and renewal
  • Site hosting (Cloudflare Pages — currently free, but any future costs)
  • Development and maintenance of the website
  • Community resources such as documentation and tooling

MeshCore Europe is not a commercial operation. No individuals profit from affiliate revenue. If costs are fully covered, surplus funds are directed to community initiatives such as open-source development or community repeater deployments.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence our recommendations. Device recommendations are based on:

  • Technical suitability for MeshCore
  • Community experience and feedback
  • Price-to-performance ratio
  • Availability in European markets

We recommend devices that we believe are the best options for MeshCore users, regardless of which ones have affiliate programs. If a recommended device does not have an affiliate link available, we link to it anyway without affiliate tracking.

This disclosure complies with:

  • EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC) — requirement to disclose commercial relationships
  • UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 — transparency requirements for affiliate marketing
