MeshCore Network Coverage

The map below shows known MeshCore repeaters and room servers across Europe. Coverage depends on terrain, antenna height, and transmit power. A repeater on a hilltop or tall building can cover a radius of 5 to 20 km or more.

How to Read the Map

  • Repeater nodes relay messages between devices, extending the range of the network. Their coverage radius depends on elevation and antenna setup.
  • Room servers are group communication hubs that also provide routing. They appear as distinct markers on the map.
  • Coverage circles are approximate. Actual range varies with terrain, buildings, vegetation, and antenna quality. Hilltop repeaters often reach far beyond their indicated radius.

The map shows reported and verified nodes. There may be additional private nodes not shown on the map.

Regional Maps and Monitoring Tools

In addition to the official MeshCore map, several community-operated tools provide detailed regional coverage information.

How Coverage Improves

Every node added to the network improves coverage for everyone. The most impactful additions are:

1
landscape

Repeaters at Elevation

A single repeater on a hilltop, tall building, or radio tower can cover tens of kilometers and bridge gaps between isolated clusters of users.

2
link

Repeaters in Gap Areas

Placing a repeater between two existing coverage zones connects them, creating a continuous mesh.

3
groups

Room Servers in Populated Areas

Room servers in cities and towns provide group communication hubs and also improve message routing.
