Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

MeshCore Europe (“we”, “us”, “this site”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

Summary

  • We do not use cookies.
  • We do not use third-party trackers.
  • We do not collect personal data through analytics.
  • The only personal data we collect is what you voluntarily submit through forms.
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for understanding how the site is used. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-first analytics service that:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not collect personal data
  • Does not track individual users across pages or sessions
  • Does not fingerprint browsers or devices
  • Collects only aggregate, anonymized data: page views, referrer information, country (based on Cloudflare edge location, not IP geolocation), browser type, and Web Vitals performance metrics

Because no cookies are used and no personal data is collected, no cookie consent banner is required under GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive.

Form Submissions

This site includes a form for submitting MeshCore community channels and room servers to our directory. When you use this form, we collect:

  • Channel/room name: Published publicly in the community directory
  • Your email address: Stored privately and never published
  • Description: Published publicly in the community directory
  • Type and country: Used to categorize the entry in the community directory

How form data is processed

  1. Your submission is sent to a Cloudflare Worker (serverless function) hosted on Cloudflare’s network.
  2. The Worker creates a GitHub issue on our public repository containing the channel/room name and description. This issue is publicly visible. Submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile verification to prevent abuse.
  3. Your email address is not included in the GitHub issue. It is stored separately in Cloudflare KV (a key-value storage service) and is accessible only to site maintainers for the purpose of contacting you about your submission if needed.
  4. A site maintainer reviews the submission. Approved entries are added to the community directory. Rejected submissions are labeled accordingly.

We process form submission data based on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). By submitting the form, you consent to the processing described above. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us to request removal of your submission.

This site contains affiliate links to third-party retailers (Amazon, AliExpress, and others). When you click an affiliate link:

  • You are redirected to the retailer’s website.
  • The retailer may set their own cookies and track your visit according to their own privacy policy.
  • We receive a commission if you make a purchase, but we do not receive any personal data about you from the retailer.
  • Our affiliate links use URL parameters (not cookies) for tracking attribution.

We have no control over the privacy practices of third-party retailers. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before making a purchase.
