The RAK WisMesh Repeater Mini is a compact solar repeater designed for one purpose: keeping your mesh network running without any intervention. It features a small solar panel, an internal battery, a weatherproof enclosure, and a LoRa radio tuned for the 868 MHz band. Mount it somewhere with sun exposure, and it will relay MeshCore packets indefinitely.

What sets the Repeater Mini apart from the SenseCAP P1 Pro is its smaller size and lower price point. It is easier to mount in discreet locations — on a fence post, a balcony railing, or a garden shed roof — where a larger solar repeater might look conspicuous or be impractical. The trade-off is a smaller solar panel and battery, which means it needs reasonable sun exposure to stay powered through shorter winter days. In most of central and southern Europe, this is not an issue for the majority of the year.

The Repeater Mini is perfect for filling coverage gaps in your local mesh. Place one between your home and a neighbour’s node, or mount one at a midpoint along a trail you frequently hike. RAK’s firmware support is solid, and the device is straightforward to configure as a MeshCore repeater. For community mesh projects on a budget, deploying several Repeater Minis across a neighbourhood is one of the most cost-effective ways to build reliable coverage.
